With great enthusiasm and excitement after successful First National meeting in 2015, “Delhi Retina Meet 2016” was hosted at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi on July 9th and 10th 2016.

This meeting focused on myopic maculopathy and we had the honor of hosting international experts like Dr. Shoji (Japan), Dr. Carlos Mateo (Spain), Dr. Lingum Gopal (Singapore) and Dr. Nazimul (UAE).

Workshop on Macular Buckling was overbooked and was widely attended by one and all. Dr. Carlos, with his engaging teaching and vast experienced demonstrated step by step approach to his technique of Macular buckling. Attendee could also lay their hands on the buckle itself. This was very well supplemented by Indian experience.

Dr. Shoji showcases the wonderful imaging on Myopic maculoschisis and great results on theses eyes when they are operated timely. The excellent tips on managing complex pediatric retinal situations and Tumors by Dr. Lingam Gopal and methodological dissection of leading research articles by Dr. Nazimul made this DRM 2016 meeting an unforgettable one.

Add to this the candid debates with all the all great Indian Retinologists, the meeting turned out to be a real scientific treat for all the delegates. Most of them candidly acknowledged the “difference” in Scientific content and format of this meeting.
